クナッパーツブッシュの78rpm盤は集めるのが大変です。国内で買うと高いので輸入していましたが、なかなか揃いません。
若いころの演奏は後年のどっしりしたスタイルに比べ、自然なテンポで演奏されています。
Knappertsbusch discs are very hard to collect. I used to import them because they are expensive in Japan, but it is not easy to find them.
The performances in his younger days are played at a natural tempo compared to the sturdier style of his later years.

RICHARFD WAGNER: OUVERTÜRE ZU “RENZI”
Greyのディスコグラフィでは1940年の5月に録音とあり、マトリスク連番の続きである0RA 4654のシュトラウスがムジークフェライン収録とあったのでその場所と思われます。
残響が非常に深いホールでウィーンフィルの音が奇麗に収録されています。
The Grey discography says that the recording was made in May 1940, and since the Strauss of 0RA 4654, which is a continuation of the Matrisk serial number, was recorded at the Musikverein, I assume that is the location.
The Vienna Philharmonic sound is beautifully recorded in a very deep reverberant hall.
