Knappertsbusch discs are very hard to collect. I used to import them because they are expensive in Japan, but it is not easy to find them.
The performances in his younger days are played at a natural tempo compared to the sturdier style of his later years.

wanted :
DB7659/60 WAGNER - Siegfried Idyll
DB7666/71 BEETHOVEN - Symphonie Nr.3 Es-Dur Op.55“Eroica”

Hans Knappertsbusch - Bad'ner Madln Walzer - Komzak [Electrola DB7710] (December 12, 1942)

This is a fun performance with Knappertsbusch's unique tempos.
The vinyl record was from an immediate postwar pressing and has scratches and a lot of noise.

Hans Knappertsbusch - RICHARFD WAGNER: OUVERTÜRE ZU “RENZI” [Electrola D.B.5607/8] (May, 1940)
Hans Knappertsbusch - GIUSEPPE VERDI: TRIUMPHMARSCH AUS “AIDA” [Electrola D.B.5608] (May, 1940)

The Grey discography says that the recording was made in May 1940, and since the Strauss of 0RA 4654, which is a continuation of the Matrisk serial number, was recorded at the Musikverein, I assume that is the location.
The Vienna Philharmonic sound is beautifully recorded in a very deep reverberant hall.
